scan for interest

I've finished with cancer treatment
... but had a final scan on Monday.

The 3-monthly scans... for 7 years... checked for results of treatment and need for treatment.

athere's no more treatment: no available chemo, surgery too complex, radiation who knows.

Anyway... no more treatment -- but I'm interested to see what the tumour does with no treatment.

I do know that the tumour is still growing... I can see, feel, it's effect. A slight loss in peripheral vision and a definite loss in proprioception.

Pro-xx is the ability to put a hand out to grab something without needing to look to see it first.
In my mind pro-xx actually depends on continuous periperipheral glimpses of what's there.
I have lost that continuous view and knowledge of location so... loss of proprioception. It's noticeable... I have to be really careful reaching for things which are just on the edge of my vision.

So no question, in my mind, that the tumour is still growing... well nothing to stop it, eh?

But I'm interested to get a final scan:
how much has it grown?
There was one possible drug which offered a very low chance of... nothing much, I said no.

how large is it now? Has it moved? anything interesting at all?
Perhaps get an idea of future -- untreated -- rate of growth

nothing to be done anyway... just interested :-)
One final look
... then leave it alone to do its worst. ha!

  1. Yes it will be interesting for you to see what has happened. Notwithstanding, the terrible circumstances.
