some brain news

I'm just waking up from an after-lunch nap. It's a tough life :-)

It was a (close-family) lunch. We have several birthdays birth within a couple of weeks, so we share one family meal out, this year at Koorak in Kings Park.
Plenty of room and good food for eight adults, with nearby playgrounds for the two grandchildren.
Must be good playgrounds, Deb supervised them and enjoyed it.

Brain:
My view is simplistic, my understanding is more cartoon than accurate. So most of what I write is wrong.

Cancer in my brain stem will *not* affect my lower limbs. So that's good... it's not driving me into a wheelchair.
Back to the expected, death by large growth through brain.
The MRI report that I posted in June explains, in tech-medi-speak, what brain matter is being affected, I posted it so I was never again tempted to try to understand it.

For the latest, in June, scan, some informal pre-release information:

The tumour has doubled in size since March. No great surprise, that's three months.
It's now as large as the original but too complex to be cut out.
In about the same space. So I was right to see it affecting vision and proprioception.

Nothing to be done... so we do nothing. Easy :-)

I did ask, if it's not via the brain stem, how does the brain control the upper body and lower limbs? which do the work of keeping me upright.
The answer was,
A vague waving of hands over head, neck and shoulders and...it's very complicated.

so there. now we all know :-)
