lung lock

Every so often my lungs will *not* take in a decent, deep breath. Usually in the middle of a cold night.
It made my recent flu feel much worse.
I treat it by: breathing deep, a puff of Ventolin, extra blankets to warm my chest.
Tonight, nothing much helps. Soon I'll get back in the warm bed, add blankets, see if the lungs clear.

My worry is: Lungs only breathe because the brain says to breathe. Cancer is cutting off the connection between brain and lungs.
Lungs not breathing is on my short list of, this will kill me.
(The short list is, heart and lungs.)

Here's a new thought:

I was about to type, So far, heart seems fine. I wonder if, in fact, my walking is slow because the "beat now" command is struggling to get from brain to heart?

Oh well. Back to bed. I'm really thirsty (and a bit cool).
If all else fails, I'll make myself a nice, hot cup of tea. That'll be nice :-)
