on the plane

the toilets are immediately behind our seats. yes we hear every time the toilet flushes. but it does mean there is no seat behind us. so we can lean the seats right back. not that they lean far.

the seats are crowded but not too bad. maybe 5cm between my knees and the seat in front.

it's nearing midnight by destination time, breakfast back at perth. so they have just served curry puffs good grief.

dinner last night was slow cooked beef

a large lump of meat. tender enough to pull apart... but not on a tray on the tiny plane table. i jammed the lump on my plastic fork and bit bits off the edge.

then hooked strings of meat out of the gaps between my teeth tasted good but too difficult to eat it all.

six hours to go.

a comfortable flight but cold

and a long long way to go.

i'm typing on my phone. i'll press send. then see what happens when we have a connection.
