Deb looks at the wookey walk. it includes a steep rocky climb. not suitable for me, we decide. Deb picks another walk. starting and ending at the Hole.
our walk is across fields, with trails and the occasional Lane.
there's a lot of up and down, gates and stiles, a small creek, some mud, lots of grass. distant sheep, some cows, several signs saying, Bull in field. a few lambs and calves:-)
it's a beautiful walk. three weather is fine. i enjoy it but... i find it hard going. I'm feeling very weak and within a minute I'm dripping sweat.i also have trouble on slippery downhill. What a wimp! i tell Deb, I'm afraid that inn to inn walks are past history for me:-)
Deb follows track notes, no worries. we get back to wookey.
try the hotel but they don't serve lunch. we go to wookey Inn.
Lunch is adequate pub food but lesser quality, aiming at lots of tourists. though today it's quiet, just us.
we drive home. get petrol on the way. Gail to find those gardens. Google's shows them as close but there's no actual sign.
then stop at the Mendip Inn... for sticky toffee pudding. delicious:-)
get home and wash clothes. hang them outside.
The Sun is shining, wind is blowing, temp about 17 degrees C.
I'll go out and see if anything is dry.
