ReplyDeleteHi Nick, I'm not sure if you are up to reading this but just in case.
ReplyDeleteI'm very sorry to read about your current condition. Like many others in your circle of family and friends, you are, and have been, regularly in my thoughts - always hoping for good news. As kids in primary school I remember the great friend you were and the fun we had with various activities - often with an excited Paddy in tow. I was a bit lost for a while when we went to different high schools which was what prompted several of those epic bike rides to visit you. After so many years of "doing our own things" it was then with great pleasure that I caught up with you a few years ago. What was it, about 40 years since we last spoke?
The strength and courage you've shown in dealing with your condition Nick has been both inspiring and amazing but not surprising. My abiding memory of you is someone who just naturally analyses a situation and deals with it. An example of course is this Blog, a lesson for some of us lesser beings. I can understand though the difficulties you may have in further posts. Just be aware Nick that I/we are thinking of you.
