the white stick

Today we finally buy me a white stick :-)

Yes, the blind person's white stick, the short version.

It seems that a full white stick needs to be bought after proper training and fitting. I'm not using it to guide me. I want to let other people know that I may not see them.

I've had near misses nearly walking into people on my left. Where I can't see them.

When I cross a road I wave my arms in warning. The white stick provides a more meaningful warning.
