When I fell... alone in the house... and could not get up... I couldn't reach a phone. That time I simply lay on the floor till I could roll and scamble onto a chair.
Now I try to keep my phone in reach. On a low bench or in a pocket. Doesn't always work.
Today I'm in the toilet when the phone rings...
Yes, I could get to the phone, eventually, if I rush. But even better:
Deb has set an option on my phone: it doesnt bother to ring -- it announces the name of the caller, I can decide whether to rush or not. Excellent, I can always return the call later.
Mind you, I tend to ignore calls anyway. Especially since most calls are from... unknown caller. I.e. scam or spam.
Life is good. With lots of room for gradual improvement. And that is even better, a lot of my type of fun.

I always keep my phone on me. Gives me a sense of security.
